2008 University Admission Requirements

(With Respect to the new Mathematics Requirements)

Within the past year, the Ontario government has revised the secondary school mathematics curriculum, and therefore the prerequisites for many university programs will change for those students beginning university studies in 2008.

These curriculum changes have compelled Ontario's universities to review and update all of their admission requirements for 2008 and release them at this time. The result of this update is the coordinated, advanced release of all admission requirements, including the new math requirements, which will assist university-bound students in planning their Grade 12 course selections accordingly.

Counsellors should inform all university-bound students of the 2008 requirements as they select their grade 12 courses. Both counsellors and students can visit www.electronicinfo.ca/2008/ to view the requirements. Included on the website is a PDF version of the requirements for each university, in chart form, which can be printed and/or photocopied for distribution. Download a poster that can be printed and posted in guidance offices or other suitable areas in the school (http://guidance.ouac.on.ca). If counsellors and/or students have questions or concerns, they should consult the appropriate university.

For the 2007 requirements, continue to consult INFO 71 or eINFO (www.electronicinfo.ca). There are no changes to 2007 requirements.
